Resort to Having Fun

May 28th, 2009 by Sean - NWA WorldVacations

Here is a post from one of our readers: Roy W. - WorldVacationer
My wife and I never thought of ourselves as all-inclusive resort people, but what started as an easy honeymoon after hectic wedding planning turned out to be one of our best vacations ever.

We stayed at the Barceló Colonial Beach in the Riviera Maya, and then spent a few days in Cancun taking advantage of the many great restaurants. Booking through NWA WorldVacations was considerably cheaper than reserving with a resort directly, never mind the flight.

Florida Vacation to visit Pooh and Friends

April 17th, 2009 by A World Vacationer

Family VacationA story contest submission by Samantha A. – A World Vacationer

Winter this year seemed extremely long, very cold, and quite wet, so we hit Florida in January to try to get a warm weather break.

It turns out that Florida in January is not as busy as the rest of the year. Since fewer people flock to Florida during January, we got to do some amazing things. We chased ducks at the Petting Farm, fed Giraffe’s at the Brevard Zoo, and got to meet and greet nearly every Disney Character.

Piper & Chris travel to Turks & Caicos

Turks and Caicos VacationA story contest submission by Piper S. – A World Vacationer

We recently stayed at a resort on Grace Bay Beach on Provindenciales in the Turks & Caicos, where we both dove for the first time.

This was a HUGE step for my husband, Chris, as he has always had great respect and fear of seas and oceans. It was an incredible experience and Chris is now hooked on diving!

Chris also parasailed and we both snorkeled (see the photo of Chris snorkeling).

We also renewed our 10 year anniversary vows on the beach while our son and grandma looked on.

Mexico VacationsI don’t know about you, but getting out of sub-zero weather was all the incentive I needed when a friend and I decided to go on a Mexico vacation and head to the Riviera Maya, a few weeks ago. Cozumel Dining & Resort Recommendations

January 12th, 2009 by David - NWA WorldVacations

Mexico Vacations

When most people go to Cozumel they think diving, but there really is so much more to the beautiful island. So much so, that I want to share some of the recent highlights of my Mexico vacation and my trip to the beautiful island of Cozumel.

This last trip I stayed at the Iberostar Cozumel. It’s a wonderful hotel with bungalow style rooms and active atmosphere. There are 4 rooms to a bungalow, with either king bed or two double beds. Each room has a mini-bar filled with water, soda and beer. There is an alarm clock (so you don’t have to set your phone to wake you up), T.V. with international channels; small table with chair and the bathrooms only have showers. Most rooms provide a view of the lush tropical jungle that surrounds the property. One note - there are no elevators at this resort.

Lost on Oahu, Hawaii

January 9th, 2009 by A World Vacationer

Hawaii VacationsA post from one of our subscribers – Barb G

We recently traveled to Oahu, Hawaii during the Thanksgiving holiday. My nephew is a big “Lost” fan, and he had heard that the TV show is shot entirely on the island of Oahu. So we drove out to the remote beach on Thanksgiving day.

The cast was on a break for the holiday, so we didn’t see anyone, but all the production trucks were present, and we could walk along the same beach and see some familiar sights of the show. If we had visited during production we wouldn’t have been able to get anywhere close to the locations.
