As Ray Kinsella said in The Field of Dreams, “Is this heaven?”…No, it’s Hawaii! Hawaii is one of the most beautiful places in the world and it is no wonder people island-hop when they visit so that they can see it all. You will want to do the same on your golf vacation and hop to all of these islands so you can experience the true beauty that is Hawaiian golf.

Well, he has done it again and this time with only one good leg! I hope that you had the chance to sit down and watch one of the greatest US Opens in history. Or maybe you had a chance to take a golf vacation to San Diego and see it in person! I know I didn’t move, except for jumping up and down on the couch screaming when Tiger made his birdie putt on 18 to tie Rocco! (My wife wasn’t home so I could jump on the couch.) I am a HUGE Tiger fan but there were times when I found myself rooting for Rocco Mediate. It is hard not to cheer for him since he is such a likeable and down-to-earth guy. I think that is why I found this tournament so fun to watch. Not only was it back and forth like two heavyweight fighters, but also as soon as one person pulled ahead I was cheering for the one who was losing. Ultimately, I would have been disappointed if Tiger didn’t win but it was a great Cinderella story with Rocco.

Mexico - synonymous with beaches, spring break and mariachi music and I am adding one more to that list - GOLF! I know what you are thinking - it’s summer, it’s Mexico and it’s HOT, why do I want to bake on a golf course? Let me tell you that Mexico has some of the most beautiful and pristine golf courses in the world! Most courses even offer twilight rates as early as 10:30am to avoid the heat - even A/C in the cart on some courses. That way you can be off the course and on the beach sipping on a margarita by the time the real heat hits. You can play courses that have been designed by the likes of Jack Nicklaus, Robert Trent Jones Jr. and Tom Weiskopf.
