Have kids. Will travel.

While I was pregnant with my first daughter, people would always tell us that we could forget about going on vacation until our family was complete, grown and in college. I think because everyone kept telling us that, it made us even more determined to travel with our kids from the very beginning. Our daughter, now four, has traveled all over the United States, Mexico and the Caribbean, and has seen more in her four years than a lot of adults see in a lifetime.

My husband and I both feel that as long as you are prepared and organized, taking your children on vacation only enhances the experience for everyone, and makes so many magical family moments. So if you love to travel and you have children, don’t hesitate to take them with, as they will learn so much. We have since had another child, 6 months old, and have already taken her to Florida, and it just would not have been the same if she were not there.

So pack those kids up, remember to bring lots of snacks, books, and their favorite toys, and head to your favorite destinations! We are already planning our next trip, and our 4 year old is begging to go to Hawaii for a surfing lesson, so maybe we will see you there! Mahalo!
