A reunion to remember
February 6th, 2008 by Melissa S.
Every year, my college friends and I reunite in the only city that let’s you feel like a carefree college student again – Las Vegas. I look forward to this trip more than any other, not only because I forget how old I am, but also because this city of excitement never allows for a dull moment. (I guess it always helps to have fun friends too).
When planning our reunion, we know the most important aspect of a successful trip to Las Vegas is picking the right hotel. Usually, we look for a deal at a hotel that is centrally located on the Strip. For example, NWA WorldVacations has great hotel bonus offers that give you free nights, gaming and golf discounts, plus many other money-savers at the top hotels in the city.
Last time my college crew went, we stayed at the MGM Grand. This hotel was perfect for us because we could get from our hotel room to trendy nightclubs, such as Tabu and Studio 54, just by taking the elevator to the first floor. Plus, MGM Grand attracts some of the biggest concerts and events, which bring in the big celebrities. I was completely star-struck when we saw Eva Longoria and Jimmy Smits walking through the lobby!
Although I have to admit, we didn’t stay at a five star hotel like MGM Grand that first year out of college. With our newfound jobs and entry-level salaries, we stayed at hotels that were a little more budget-friendly. However, they were no less fun for us, and we have the memories to prove it.
But I can’t go into too much detail…after all, what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas, right?
